Wrestling has always deserved better technology than it has had. Results live in systems you cannot search, cannot link to, and often cannot reach a year later. A wrestler wins a section title and there is no page that proves it. A coach preparing for a seeding meeting rebuilds the same bracket math by hand every February. Parents just want to know how their kid is doing and end up digging through PDFs.

None of that is a hard problem. It is just one nobody sat down and fixed.

So this is the fix: one place where a result is findable, linkable, and still there next season.

Every number traces back to a match. Ratings are computed from real results you can open and check. Nothing is estimated, and nothing is entered by hand to make a board look fuller than it is.

One formula, published, the same for everyone. No coach polls, no reputation bonus, no thumb on the scale for a bigger program. The point values are written down and there is a calculator you can run yourself.

Looking up a wrestler stays free. A family should never have to pay to find out where their kid stands. What costs money is the ordered field — the scouting view — not the existence of a wrestler.

Corrections are the job, not an annoyance. Sources disagree, names get misspelled, wrestlers transfer. When something looks wrong, report it — every report is read and worked through by hand.

A number is never a verdict on a kid. Publishing results puts an obligation on us and on everyone using the site. Argue with the data all you want — harassment and bullying cost an account its access. Read the Code of Conduct.

I have coached wrestling for over nine years. I am the head coach at Castro Valley High School and the founder of Iron Wrestling Club, and along the way I have been part of the rooms at Archbishop Riordan, Dougherty Valley, Trabuco Hills, and Reign Wrestling Club.

I am also a software engineer. That combination is the whole reason this site exists — I kept running into the same broken tools every season, and I could actually do something about them.
