Privacy Policy
The short version
We collect as little as we can. You can browse records and look up a wrestler without an account. If you make an account we hold your email; if you buy a pass, Stripe handles the payment and we store only the fact that you bought it. We do not sell your data and we do not run ad networks.
What we collect
Account information. If you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) stores your name, email address, and login credentials. We do not store your password.
Purchase information. Payments run through Stripe. We receive a confirmation and store which season you unlocked. We never receive or store your full card number.
Roster and reports. Wrestlers and teams you follow, and any correction reports you submit, are stored against your account.
Technical data. Standard server and hosting logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested — used to keep the site running, diagnose errors, and enforce rate limits against abuse.
Competition results. Wrestler names, schools, grades, weight classes, match results, and placements, compiled from published tournament data. See below.
Competition results and athletes
The archive is built from wrestling results that have already been published — tournament brackets and results posted by event operators and results providers, and information supplied directly by event operators. It records competition facts: who wrestled, for which school, at what weight, and who won.
We do not collect contact details, addresses, birth dates, transcripts, grades or coursework, or any other personal information about athletes. The only school-related details held are the school a wrestler competed for and the grade level printed on a bracket. Many wrestlers are minors, and the data held about them is deliberately limited to what appears on a published bracket.
If you are a wrestler, or the parent or guardian of one, and you want a record corrected or want to discuss removal, contact us and we will work with you. Corrections are made by hand and we take them seriously.
How we use it
To operate the site: authenticate you, grant the access you paid for, and show results.
To compute ratings, rankings, records, and badges from match results.
To keep the service working and honest: diagnose errors, prevent abuse and scraping, and enforce rate limits.
To reply to you when you contact us or report a problem.
We do not use your personal information to train advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent it.
How long we keep it
Account information is kept while your account exists. Purchase records are kept as long as needed for accounting and tax obligations. Competition results are kept indefinitely — a permanent, checkable record is the point of the archive.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and the data attached to it. Email us and we will action it.
Deleting an account does not remove published competition results from the archive, which are separate from your account. Requests about a specific athlete's record are handled as described above.
California residents have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with reputable providers. Access to production data is limited. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the site.
